Dear Santa,

Dear Santa,

I know that you see everything so I'm not going to lie about being good this year! I have been pretty good, but you also know that I have had my moments of being bad. I figure that since I'm being honest you might give me some brownie points? I would really appreciate that because I really don't want coal this year! I know what your thinking this girl is crazy, but Santa I was raised to believe that people deserve second chances and to be forgiven. So with that aside I think its time to tell you what I would like for Christmas! I don't really want a lot of things. I just want some new clothes and a truck. That's not to bad, right? If you could help with me finding a job that would be great, too! I also would like everyone to have a great Christmas and for everyone to remember the real meaning of Christmas. That its not about presents, but its about celebrating the birth of Jesus.
                                                              Yours Truly,
                                                          Brandi Ferguson
P.S. I will leave you cookies! Though, not to be rude, but really I don't think you need them because if you eat all the cookies everyone gives you, how are you going to fit in your clothes anymore? So if you decide not to eat them I will understand! It's better to not eat some cookies and have better health anyway! I'm just looking out for you Santa!

Favorite Show? (:

A year or so ago, I was flipping through channels and stumbled upon a show that instantly had me transfixed. "Bones' is a drama that comes on at 8 on Fox on Thursday nights, and I watch it every time it does! Its just something that completely changed my thoughts on people and a lot of things. It showed me that even though people are different and have different ideas they can come together and work. It can be educational, too! You can learn a lot of things about the body through this t.v. show! In such a few words I love this show and I think anyone that watches would, too!

Skiing and Me Equals a BIG NO NO!

Last winter my family and I went skiing. It was the first time I ever skied. I was doing really good until my mom's boyfriend took me on the hardest slope to ski! I was still doing good until he yelled my name and ran into me. Now, my mom's boyfriend is 6'5 and pretty heavy! I flew right into a tree and tumbled down a very steep hill. I still finished skiing down that hill and the another one to get to the bottom, but the next morning was a nightmare. I woke up to excruciating pain! My whole body was sore, but the worst soreness was in my shoulder. I shrieked for my mom to come in the room. My mom dashed into the room to see what was wrong. She examined my shoulder and decided to take me to the doctor. We packed up our stuff and headed out. When we arrived at the doctor's office the pain had got so serious I passed out! I found out that I had cracked my collar bone, broke something in my shoulder, and tore a lot of tissue around it. It was probably the worst pain I have ever experienced physically! It didn't help that my brother kept putting his hand on my shoulder and pushing down roughly on it! I cried like a baby!

Greatest Invention?

The greatest invention ever would have to be tooth paste and tooth brushes! I mean what would the world be like without these things? Everyone would have horrid breath!! Everyone knows that no one wants to talk to someone with some stinky breath! If we didn't have tooth brushes and tooth paste everyone would like have to hold their hand in front of their mouth or something to keep people from smelling their nasty breath. How would couples ever make it through this!? It would be terrible. Good smelling breath goes a long way, but stinky breath just makes people want to turn away. Another good thing about tooth brushes and tooth paste is it also keeps your teeth pretty, white, and helps protect them for bad mouth germs. So, people, use this great invention so you won't have stinky breath, just saying!(:

Era of Cleopatra!(:

If I could travel back in time I would travel to the Era of Cleopatra. I mean who wouldn't want to be Cleopatra? She was the last ruler of Egypt before it became a Roman Province! The bonus would be I get to rule over people. People would like worship me because I'm a pharaoh! I'm not going to lie if people challenge my power I would send them to get eaten by the alligators or feed them to my cheetahs while they're alive. I would rule the land a little bit differently than her, but I think that I would be a pretty amazing ruler. I would hope that I would still be clever, ambitious, and determined. She was also known for her beauty so another bonus for me! She did have a hard life, but I can deal with that. I think I would want a "zap back" to the future button when I dramatically kill myself by letting some kind of snake bite me! Though I do get put in this awesome tomb and if anyone tries to enter they get cursed so it's kind of like a do not disturb the sleeping or I will curse you. So if anyone decides to break into my tomb I will curse you and you will regret it greatly. My curse would have to be 100 years of bad luck, never being able to have the one love you want, being abandoned by all those that you love, and you end up having a tragic, very painful, death when you die. So word of the wise do not disturb my tomb.

Whales and Interviews?

Well, the other day Thalia, Kasey, and me decided we wanted to go surfing. We took a small boat with us just in case some of got tired of surfing. Kasey and me just got back into the boat and were watching Thalia make stupid noises when all of the sudden BOOM!! Thalia and her surf board go flying far away from us. The first thing I thought was Oh my gosh!!!A shark! We started the little boat and went to Thalia who was freaking and said" Oh my gosh, a freaking whale hit me!" I bust out laughing as another whale hits the bottom of her surf board again. It was kind of like they were playing volley ball with her. Kasey was laughing so hard she was in tears. Kasey and me decided that, being the great friends we are, should help Thalia out before she gets hurt. So we went and got her out of the water. She was speechless, which with Thalia is pretty amazing. We decided to head back to make sure the whales didn't try to hit our boat. On the way back Thalia kept talking about how the whales were going to eat her. As we arrived on the shore we were ambushed by cameras and their crew. They were asking so many questions at once, but we got them all answered.
"Why were y'all so far out there? That was incredible!"
"Well it was just such a pretty day we decided to go surfing in the ocean."
"What happened out there, and what was going through your mind as those magnificent creatures came by you?"The whale just came out of no where! It was crazy! The first thing that went through my mind was holy cow,or should it be holly whale, is that a shark?!"
"Were you worried that you would be swallowed? Tell me who was with you out there?"
Thalia said"Yes, I really did think I was going to get eaten! Then I remembered that whales don't eat humans so I was like oh my gosh that was so cool!It was just Brandi, Kasey, and me."

Noche Asesina!

I stood and watched Thalia be led away to prison for something I knew she hadn't done. They accused her of shooting Logan Martindale. Though he is in the hospital, he is still alive, but just barely. Thalia looked at me with those tearful, pleading, eyes. It was as if she was begging me to rescue her. I knew she wouldn't last a night in jail. Thalia, though, she seems like a bad kid is really a good child. I knew I had to do something. I had to save her. So I set a plan to do just that. Now, i'm not just any ordinary girl. I have superpowers. I can read minds, climb buildings, run faster than humanly possible, and have strength that is not known for words. That would be one of the reasons I know Thalia did not do this, because seeing how I can read minds people really can't lie to me.  So as it turned to night I went to set my plans into action. I knew Thalia was on the third floor in the fifth cell. I climbed the building and almost ran right into a guard but I hid in the dark shadows as he passed. I ran with blinding speed to her cell and pried the doors off. We had a couple complications on the way out but besides that we got away. I took Thalia to Mexico until her name was cleared, and then returned to get her once it was. When I rescued Thalia something inside me changed, and I began to realize my true destiny to help those in need. I am a superhero. I am Noche Asesina!(Night Assassin)

Drug Awareness Week

During yesterday's assembly two things hit me the hardest. The first one was the texting and driving. My sister was in a wreck because of texting and driving. She was seriously injured and had a concussion. They said that if she hadn't have been wearing her seat belt that she wouldn't even be here today. I always try to avoid texting and driving because of the fear of that happening to me. The other thing that hit me was the drug use. My brother used to do drugs. He changed drastically when he was using them. He went from being the most amazing brother that was sweet and caring to someone I didn't even recognize. He became mean and rude. He wasn't the brother that I knew. He quit, thankfully, but still to this day he is different than he used to be. Once you do something like that it can change you for forever.

My View on Celebrity Consequences

In my way of thinking it's wrong how celebrity's get off easier with crimes. I seriously wonder why they can take a 2,500 dollar necklace and just have to do community service when if a "regular" person would have done that they would have been put in jail for a pretty good while! To me that's pretty much saying that if your rich and famous your better than everyone else! Should certain people really be above the law and get off easier than others just because they have more money? No, absolutely not, it is wrong of people to even let this happen. Everyone should be treated fairly, so I think Lindsay Lohan should go spend some time in jail to make her think about what she is actually doing in life! If we let celebrity's get off easier than other people than how do we expect them to ever learn from their actions?

Halloween Memories,Stories, and Jokes!

Last year for Halloween I hung out with Thalia. We were pretty bored so we decided to go to this haunted house. Well when we went through it I'll admit I freaked out because someone had a clown mask on and I'm terrified of clowns! So besides that we were going through it and we were just about to be towards the end when this dude with an ax started chasing us! So, of course, Thalia would push me and take off running while I fell on this mattress.  I was like freaking out trying to get up because the guy with an ax was still coming at me, which I have to give it to him for not laughing at me because I would have. I was tangled up in some string I fell into and I had twisted my ankle during the fall, but just as he was getting close I finally managed to get up and hobble away. The only bad thing was I hobbled right into Thalia and we fell to the ground laughing. So a tip to myself is to never take Thalia in a haunted house with me again! After that the night went on and we had a few more things to do but that had to be the most eventful thing of the night.
The creepiest ghost story I ever heard would have to be the one my brothers told me. We were all sitting outside in this tent one night on the weekend when they started telling it. They started out with a stupid name and it was Kiss-Face. I'll try to give a short version of it but in all truth I can't tell the story as good as they do.
Anyways as the story goes one foggy night this group of kids were out walking and just having fun. Their were four girls and five boys they decided to go into this haunted house. They went into to the house and we're exploring but as they tried to leave the door would not open. They decided to split up and try to use a window seeing how the back door was sealed off. As they were walking off into groups a girl named Sally screamed. Everyone ran back and asked what was wrong she said "I saw something!I swear their was a...never mind it's probably just nerves. Sorry guys." So they took off again when all the sudden their was another piercing scream then another one and finally a third one. The remaining kids ran towards the screams to find their friends hanging with bloody lips as if they were torn off. They had slash marks around their wrist and one on their throats. When you got closer you could see that their lips had been bitten into by razor sharp teeth. Everyone is freaked out and trying to figure out what is going on. Sally keeps saying O my gosh over and over again. Tim takes charge "Sally shut up, and ya'll let's get out of here." Sally tells him " I saw him. I saw who did this. I told you we shouldn't go into this house. You knew who used to live here!" Everyone just stares at her and starts to get up as they start to leave the room they notice the sudden silence. Sally is gone. Now they start to wonder what is going on, and everyone runs to the front door. They are beating on it trying to get it open! It creeks open, and everyone takes off running but as they do they hear this mid-evil laughter! As they are running each one is getting picked off one by one until they are down to the last two. Tim and Beka are the last two and as they are running they run right into Kiss-Face! To describe him it would be mortifying but he told them a little riddle and if they got it right they could live if they didn't they would die. He said I'm an animal. I like red things and and kissable lips. What am I? Tim answered a bird and died. Beka said You. She got to live but even now if you walk in a group of nine friends you can hear the laughter of Kiss-Face. At the end of the story their was this weird laughter and I took off running to my daddy!

Why do witches wear name tags?
So that they can tell witch is which!

Why are pumpkins better than men?
If you don't like the way he looks, you just carve up another face.

Why didn't the skeleton dance at the party?
Because he had no body to dance with.

Me and My Legacy!

From the time I was but a baby I already had obstacles in my life.  My parents divorced when I was three and my sister, who was like my best friend, went to live with my dad when I was eight. I was down about it for awhile but I learned to keep my head up and be happy because things could always be worse. Going through life and seeing things that people do made me come to realize some people just don't live enough. Now in my family their has been only a few people that have gone to college such as my mom and my second oldest brother, Travis.  I plan to be the next one to go to college in my family. I want to get a good degree and go far in life. I plan to become a veterinarian or an animal massage therapist. In doing those careers I will get to travel a lot and while I travel I plan to have some fun in achieving my dreams. I believe that God put everyone on Earth for a reason and I know that everyone has a special talent or way about them. I could say I want to be remembered as the girl who was nice to everyone or who never gave up on anyone. Though I think that I want my legacy to be known as the girl who's dreams she lived to the fullest.  When my family talks about me after I pass away I want them to talk about how every dream I lived to the best of my advantages.I want to be a role model for my younger family members and respected by the elder ones. I hope that in doing this I may even set an example that people can achieve dreams if they try hard enough and put their life in God's hands!

My Worst Food Experience

One time when I went to stay with my dad for his visitation we had a cook out for the 4th of July. My dad called me over to him and told me to try this new thing he made. I didn't think twice about it because my dad is an amazing cook. So I took the little ball of meat and ate it. It was beyond distgusting! I spit it out and everyone was laughing. I wanted to know what was so funny so I asked. I had just eaten fried calf balls! I felt sick to my stomach after finding that out! Yes, they look appetizing at first but they taste nasty! My sister on the other hand thinks their delicious. It may have just been me but I thought they tasted repugnant!Even the idea of eating fried calf balls is revolting. So now every time my family ask me to eat something I always ask what it is first and I usually make someone test it before me. I guess you could say it was a good life lesson in not  trusting everything that meets the eye. I'll always remember something may look tasteful and still be gross!

Sounds of Music

I like country, hip-hop, and rap music. Country has a type of music that has a lot of meaning in each songs and you can understand everything they say. Rap and hip-hop music has a good beat to listen and dance too.
My favorite artist would have to Jordin Sparks or Drake. I like these two artist because they put a lot of emotion in their songs and they sing about things that a lot of people can relate to.
My least favorite song is Friday by Rebecca Black. I see no point in this song besides to just annoy people.
My mom listens to some of the oldies, but most of the time she listens to the music I listen too. I don't really care what kinda of music my mom listens to. I mean it's her choice and she is my mom so if she wants to listen to it then I can't really tell her not to.For the most part though I approve. My mom likes some of my music but a couple of songs she doesn't care for.

Principles of Right and Wrong in the Society Today

I think that today we are a lot more tolerant than what people used to be. Now days their are more shows that are less discrete about what they show on it. They show more sexual scenes, and foul language. Desperate Housewives is a really good example of a show that shows way to much for a certain age. It pretty much revolves around sex and foul language. When my mom was a kid she said she never saw shows like this. The shows that used to be the X rated  shows are now the PG13 movies. If this is what the world is like now, what can we expect the future to be like?

We Still Have Hope

I can only imagine what it must have been like to be there on the day of 9/11.  All the things that must have been going through people's minds, the emotions, and the frantic rushing around from place to place. It must have been terrible. I know every time I hear about it I almost cry. The one thing we have to remember, that everyone that tragic day had to remember is we have to have hope! We can look to the smallest things or to things that matter to us. We need to remember to look to something to remind us that even though they tried to bring us down we are still standing. When I saw this photo I thought it described my every thought of what hope we need to think of. The flag, our flag, represents so much in our states. It represents our freedom, our lives, and our hope! Remember 9/11 and never forget we still had hope that day, so we can have hope in anything.

A Few of My Activities

From the time I could sit up by myself my mom had me in a saddle on the back of a horse. Those memories are very vague but still to this day I enjoy taking my horse out for a ride.  On most of the weekends I'm off to go barrel race for Sue Barrington.  Like most of my activities someone close to me got me started on them. My sister was always crazy about basketball. I idolized my sister wanting to do everything she did. So I started playing basketball and I soon fell in love with it. I admit I'm not great at basketball but I do try to do my best with everything I do so I never gave up.  The thing I love to do most though is to hang out with my friends. I'm a pretty shy person but with my friends I can be loud and obnoxious.  I know who I am and I'm not ashamed of that. I just find it easier to relax and be more myself around my friends.  I love my life, and the people in it make it all the more interesting.

First Week of School

My first week of Wellington High School has been challenging, but its been amazing. I think my hardest subject is Spanish, because I can't pronounce all the words correctly which is very frustrating for me.  I enjoy all the classes I have, and the people in them.  I dread Algebra 1 because I don't really like math very much.
